October 2008 Portrait Clip Contest Winners

First Place: Mark Zaleski, The Press-Enterprise
Marnie Henderson owner of Reflections Hair Salon is being sued by her former boss for slander. He was forced to shut down his illegal sex club he was running out of his Headhunters Hair Design shop in Riverside, and is claiming Marnie slandered him and took his staff with her.

Second Place: Stan Lim, The Press-Enterprise
Anndrea' Cooper, 10, and a resident at the Citrus Grove, shows off her face paint during a grand opening of the community learning center, located in the gated community in Rialto on Thursday, October 23, 2008. A grand opening was held at the Citrus Grove which was once known as the crime-plagued Willow Winchester neighborhood.

Third Place: Ed Crisostomo, The Press-Enterprise
Marcilyn Callejo, Curator of Education, framed with Cosme Cordova's painting called "Noche de Media Luna" one of many exhibits for the Contemporary Artists Celebrate The Day of the Dead at the Museum of History & Art Ontario.

Honorable Mention: Stan Lim, The Press-Enterprise
Jacob Vara, 10, of Corona, shows a picture of himself as a baby taken several months after being burned on the scalp. Vara now wears bandages on his head after recently having a rare hair transplant surgery at Loma Linda University Children's Hospital.
